Transportation Security Administration

The Aviation and the Transportation Security Act founded the TSA, fully the Transportation Security Administration, yet on November 19, 2001. Transportation Security Administration is an independent operator at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, which serves the airport's security checkpoint areas and supervises the CAE airport's security line management.

TSA Screening

All air travelers flying through CAE airport must undergo at the security checkpoint to check their carry-on bags, then remove shoes, jackets, and belt. Also, items such as electronic devices, liquids package, and metal-made objects, should be checked for X-ray screening.

Airport Security

Besides TSA, Columbia Metropolitan Airport safety is ensured and monitored by The Public Safety Department, which offers 24-hour security and safety services at the CAE airport, including the fire department and a police force.

For information regarding airlines and their scheduled flights, passengers can contact at the following telephone numbers, or visit the airline ticket counters, at the designated operating hour given below:

• For reservations or other information regarding American Airlines flights, passengers can call at 1-800-433-7300; American Airlines ticket counter hours are from 4:15 am to 8:00 pm.
• For reservations at Delta, passengers can call at 1-800-221-1212, for automated Information call at 1-800-325-1999. Delta Airlines ticket counter hours are from 4:00a am to 8:00 pm.
• For reservations at United Airlines, passengers can call at 1-800-241-6522. United Airlines ticket counter working hours are between 4:30 am and 7:00 pm.
